Al Gregory, Jr., Chairman
Franklin native Al Gregory, Jr. has served on the FHA Board of Commissioners since 2006. He is the assistant vice president of Cadence Bank here in Franklin. As an active member of the Franklin community, Al is president and chairman of the board of the Franklin Lions Club, past-president of the Liberty Hills Home Owners Association, a member of the Central Franklin Area Plan Committee and a member of the Williamson County-Franklin Chamber of Commerce.
Scott Black
A Franklin Housing Authority Board of Commissioners member since 2009, Scott is manager of budget, finance and administration for Music City Convention Center Authority. As a licensed Tennessee architect, he has worked in the field of multifamily and mixed-used communities. Scott has served on the Franklin Tomorrow board of directors and was chairman of the Mayor’s task force for affordable housing in 2008. He continues to serve on that task force today.
Darlene Morton
Darlene has served on the FHA Board of Commissioners since 2009. She is owner of Morton Properties LLC and a REALTOR with Benchmark Realty LLC. A Franklin native and active member of the community, Darlene is chairperson of the United Community Resource Foundation, serves on the Mayor’s task force for affordable housing in Franklin, and has been appointed to serve as Grand Jury Foreperson for Williamson County.
Ethel Scruggs
Ethel has served on Franklin Housing Authority Board of Commissioners since 2002. She also sits on the Board’s personnel and community relations subcommittee. Ethel is a Franklin Housing Authority resident appointed for board service by the Mayor. She is also an active member of the West Harpeth Baptist Church.
Mahdi Woodard
Mahdi’s service on the FHA Board of Commissioners began in 2010. He is a recent graduate of Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania and works as a marketing brand analyst at MARS Petcare. He also volunteers as a financial youth teacher for Law Economics and with Social Activist Youth, an organization based in his hometown of Atlanta. While at Bucknell, Mahdi received the Bucknell University Presidential Award for his work as co-founder and director for a student-led diversity immersion retreat, Common Ground.
